New York City’s garment district has a long history dating back to the 1930’s. The garment district has had its ups and downs, and, unfortunately, seen a steady decline in the last 50 years. Not only that, but Taryn Winters Lingerie supports the City’s sewists, suppliers, and other businesses that are integral to creating a handmade collection of bras, panties, bodysuits, and more. Handmade means a real person cuts fabric based on a pattern and uses a sewing machine to create garments--one at a time--with high-quality fabrics, trims, and hardware (bra hooks, rings and slides to adjust straps, and garter clips, just to name a few).
And, because Taryn Winters Lingerie is also based in New York, Taryn has personal relationships with her vendors and can work with them in person, right here in New York’s garment district.
